
A student delegation from the University of Aleppo visited Al Wattania Concrete Company.
A delegation of students from the University of Aleppo organized a field visit to Al Wattania Concrete company in the Sheikh Najjar area, with the aim of learning about concrete production processes and its role in the construction sector. The visit was part of the university’s efforts to enhance interaction between the academic side and the industrial fields.
The students were warmly welcomed by the plant's staff, where a detailed explanation was given about the stages of concrete production, starting from the preparation of raw materials such as cement, gravel, and sand, through the mixing process using the latest technologies and equipment, to quality control and safety standards.
The program also included a tour inside the facility to observe the machines and equipment used in the production process. A presentation was given on the importance of concrete in infrastructure projects and the impact of high-quality concrete on the durability of buildings against various environmental factors.
The students showed great interest in the processes they witnessed firsthand and asked questions about the methods used to improve production efficiency and reduce environmental impacts. Opportunities for cooperation between the university and the plant were also discussed through training programs or research projects.
At the end of the visit, the student delegation expressed their gratitude to the plant management for the hospitality and valuable information exchanged, considering the visit a practical experience that added significant knowledge about the role of the concrete industry in urban development.
